Change Your World

Counselling Services

Welcome, and well done for getting this far!

Most people don’t arrive on a counselling page because everything’s going brilliantly.

If you’re struggling, believe there has to be more to life, are tired of coping, or have a specific issue you want help with, please know that you don’t have to reach breaking point before reaching out for support.

At Change Your World, we believe prevention is best, but wherever you are and whatever you’re dealing with, we can help.  Change Your World Counselling Services provides a confidential, supportive, safe space to be heard, accepted, understood, and helped to find your way forward.

If you feel apprehensive about counselling, that’s completely normal. The hardest step is reaching out,  and you’ve already done that just by being here. Let us support you with the rest.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need a doctor’s referral to see you?

No, you do not need a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. You are welcome to contact Change Your World Wellness Centre directly to enquire about counselling, therapy or coaching. If you are receiving support from other services, we can work alongside this where appropriate.

  • What kind of issues can you support with

We offer support for a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns. This includes, but is not limited to:

    - Stress and burnout

    - Anxiety and overwhelm

    - Depression and low mood

    - Life transitions and personal challenges

    - Childhood experiences and trauma

    - Emotional regulation and self-esteem

    - Workplace pressure and boundaries

Support is always tailored to the individual, and sessions provide a space to explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable for you.

  • What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity to begin a conversation. We’ll take time to understand what has brought you to seek support, talk through any relevant background, and explore what you would like from the sessions.

There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. The focus is on creating a safe, supportive space and beginning the process of working together.

  • How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people attend short-term counselling or coaching, while others choose longer-term support. This can be discussed openly and reviewed as you go, allowing the work to remain flexible and responsive to your needs.

  • How much do sessions cost?

60 minute 1:1 coaching and therapy sessions are £50 per session.

90 Minute 1:1 coaching and therapy sessions are £75

Group coaching is £12.00 per session.

If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to book a free 15 minute call. This offers a gentle, no pressure opportunity to ask questions, explore your options and see which is the right support for you.

  • Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. Sessions are available both in person at our Wellness Centre in Inverness and online. Online sessions provide the same level of care and confidentiality and may be a helpful option if you live further afield or prefer to access support from home.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

There’s no need to dress in any particular way. We recommend wearing something comfortable so you can feel at ease during your session.

  • Is what I share kept confidential?

Yes. All counselling and therapy sessions are confidential and follow professional and ethical guidelines. Confidentiality and its limits will be explained clearly during your first session.

  • How do I take the first step?

Taking the first step can feel daunting. If you’d like to begin gently, you can book a free 15-minute call to ask questions, talk through your options and see whether the Wellness Centre feels like the right fit for you.
